Visualization and Vision Boards are Powerful Tools to Bring About Your Desired Reality

There’s no doubt that using Visualization is a powerful force in bringing your dreams into reality -  IF you do it correctly…

Visualizing, together with Affirmations, is consciously choosing to think and vision certain thoughts and images that will create positive results in the future. 

Here are 8 Tips to Help You Make Visualization Work Most Effectively For You

1.   Establish a Very Clear “Vision” and Total Clarity of “Intention”.  From my experience, this is where it all starts – being very clear about what you want and desire, absolutely committed and unwavering, without any doubts, not even for a moment…

For many, as a preliminary step, this also will involve identifying and clearing limiting beliefs and blockages acquired from upbringing and past experiences (96-98% of beliefs are sub-conscious, only 2-4% are conscious, so this can be a difficult and complex area), monitoring internal dialogue, and lots of re-programming.

2.   Combine Visualization with Affirmations.  In my view, Visualization is only one piece of the puzzle, and done on its own, as with just doing Affirmations on their own, isn’t enough.  It’s a bit “thin on the ground”, and in isolation, undermines and sells the whole process short…

More often than not, leading to the desired success not being achieved, as people give up because it’s something to do that’s separate to, and outside of their normal routines, or they get distracted, or bored, and give up. 

It needs to be done as part of a holistic approach package. 

3.   Visualize with Real “Feeling” to raise your emotions and energy frequencies, together with Affirmations, to lead, reinforce, and draw the experience closer so it’s almost being experienced in the Here and Now… 

Just like a holographic image or virtual reality you reach for or shift to in your consciousness (vitally important in terms of Law of Attraction and Quantum Physics principles).

It’s all about keeping the Vision and Intention crystal clear and steadfast before you, in the utmost positive light, every step along the way, and holding that space consistently until the desire manifests…

Get excited! :-) …

4.   The Key is to Do Visualization as Daily Practice so that it becomes part of your newly programmed mindset, natural way of being, habitual, automatic and “sticky”… (These are observed characteristics and behavior patterns of highly successful people).

You can do it any time of day that feels right for you (we’re all different).

If you prefer a set time, then establish that time for YOU.  If you prefer to do it spontaneously when you intuitively get the urge, then that’s OK too, as long as you do it consistently.

First thing in the morning before getting up is a really good time, especially if you’re still in the lucid dreaming phase or just coming out of it.

Setting Your Intentions for the day and then Visualizing is a great way to get off to a positive start.  Notice how it changes your demeanor and whole approach to getting up, and how it positively influences the flow of your day.

You also could do it before going off to sleep…

Incorporating it with meditation is also excellent.  Whatever feels right for you…

5.   Incorporate Your Visualization into Your Day, so that it blends into your day naturally, rather than be a separate activity you have to do.

Keep them top of mind and just before you, all throughout the day, as if you’re living and experiencing them right NOW.

This requires commitment, but is really powerful and holds you in good stead for manifesting your desires more effectively and much faster.

6.   Visualization Has to Be Eminently Meaningful and Practical For You.  From my viewpoint this is vital, so visualize what you truly desire from your heart, and you’ll have greater success.

Whatever it may be for you, like:

A highly successful home business, huge list of highly responsive subscribers and customers who love you, act on your recommendations, buy your products…

Ideal likeminded clients who pay you generously, keep coming back, and recommend you enthusiastically to others…

Clickbank and Paypal accounts that go through the roof…  Umpteen wonderful products you’ve produced that are in “hot demand”…

Recognition of your contribution…  Being interviewed on Oprah…  Being happy, true to yourself, living your values with integrity…  The lifestyle you so desire, meaningful relationships, holidays, dream home, dream car, dream yacht or boat… :-)

Having the resources and freedom to give back and help others less fortunate, and “make a real difference”…

What does all this mean to you?  How does it make you “feel”?  Visioning your life as you desire it to be, while at the same time appreciating with gratitude everything you have right now…

7.  Make Your Visualization Process Uniquely YOU.  Just as in the previous point, tailor your Visualizations specific to your own desires.  Put your personality into it.

If you find some pre-recorded guided meditations don’t feel right for you, don’t grab or help you, aren’t relevant to your needs, or are a bit tiresome, then develop and adapt your own approach…  Be creative!…

8.  Create Your Own Vision Board.  This is the ultimate way of making your Visualization process uniquely YOU using your very own Vision Board.

Either a physical board, journal or book, or create your own online Vision Board using some of the amazing software programs that are available.

For a physical Vision Board, just go get a pin board from your local department store, stationery outlet, or discount shop.  Then buy some inspiring magazines, and cut out images that most represent your dreams and goals, and inspire you.  Then pin them on your Vision Board, and place it near you so that it’s in your constant vision range during your day.

If you like the idea of an online Vision Board, then try this – I particularly like using a fabulous Vision Board tool software program on my computer by the Mind Movies people.  You just use the program to compile and create the images that inspire you, and have it working on your computer screen, and you can easily adjust the level at which it appears on your computer screen – upfront, or subliminal in the background. 

Whichever format you use, just focus on your Vision Board, as you do your Visualization daily practice.

Do yourself a big favor, and give Visualization a try.  Or if you’ve tried Visualization before, give it a fresh, renewed try with vigor.  You deserve it and owe it to yourself to give it a go and see the difference it makes in your life.  Once you get it right, you won’t look back…

Intentions Planning for a Magnificent Success Achieving 2010!

Intentions Planning is a great thing to do right now as 2009 draws to a close.  It’s a fantastic time of the year to cast forward your thinking and plan and prepare for a fabulous new year 2010.

So, let’s make the most of this special time, and get ready for a great kick-start to 2010.

It’s been said – “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail” (Unknown). Or – “Failures don’t plan to fail; they fail to plan” (Harvey MacKay)

And, on the other hand – “Plans… are made to be tinkered with—and eventually torn up” (by the wonderful innovative, “outside the box”, Thriving on Chaos, Tom Peters)

My view is you need a combination of both – Planning for sure, but not be too obsessive or rigid about it, and stay open to adjust your Plan, intuitively and inspirationally, for better things.   

Getting the balance right is the key, so you get the absolutely best benefit for YOU. 

And, that is to get your Plan clear and mapped out so you have a clear Vision and Action Plan ahead to follow.

But then stay flexible, because it needs to be a living, breathing plan that evolves and can be flexibly adjusted responsively, as things inevitably change…

I also prefer to talk about Intentions (and Dreams) rather than Resolutions (of the New Year variety) and Desired Achievements rather than Goals.

Your ability to sense, intuit, and take Inspired Action, with speed, is vitally important.

So, here are some Guidelines for your Intentions Planning:

1. Identify and Set Your Intentions

Be very clear and decide what you want and desire. When you do so, with laser sharp clarity, you engage your conscious and sub-conscious minds, and the Universe can then step in to set in motion, draw to you and manifest what you want.

2. Be Very Clear and Specific

Really get into all the details and note them down. Visualize, imagine, and describe how it “feels” to have achieved your Intentions as if Right Now! More on this later…

3. Assemble Your List of Intentions

Under the following headings, or adapt and re-organize the List as you desire to suit your specific needs and preferences – as long as it makes sense to you, and feels good for you.

You can do this on paper, on your computer, use the Work Sheet document I’ve prepared for you here, or use  mind mapping software.

But do commit to the written word. As Mark Victor Hansen (“Chicken Soup for the Soul” Co-Author) says – “Don’t just think it, ink it!”

Business / Career Intentions and Goals
Business Development
Career / Professional Development
Financial Goals

Personal Intentions and Goals
Health and Wellness
Personal Development
Relationship/s
Leisure time
Social Responsibility/Giving Back/Making a Difference

Under each heading, or if you’re using a table format, add a column to the right, and set 3 to 5 Specific Desired Achievements (or Goals) with timeframes.

4. Really “FEEL” Your Intentions and Get into the ‘Emotion’

By making your Intentions very specific and energized with emotion you create compelling ‘Desired Achievements’ (or Goals) to aim for, that drive you toward what you want, and equally attracts the desired outcomes to you.

Get all your senses involved. If you can’t get emotionally excited and energized by what you’re aiming for, it’s very likely you’ll find excuses to NOT achieve your Intentions.

Dr Joe Vitale talks about “Nevillizing” Your Goal, and “feeling” every part of what it “feels” like to have achieved what you’ve desired. (I’ll address this further in a future Blog post).

5. Be Very Clear About Your “WHY” Reasons You Want These Intentions

Your “WHY” Reasons will give you focus, direction, and fuel to drive through and overcome obstacles. They’ll keep you on track and give you traction.

Reality Check Questions – Does this Intention create passion in your heart and soul and a “fire in your belly”? Do you have a burning and compelling desire to achieve your Intention?

6. Be in Integrity and Authenticity

Make sure your Intentions are powered by what YOU want and desire, and fulfill your Life Purpose, and not what other people think or want.

If your Intentions are driven by seeking the approval of others, you’re likely to find excuses and ways to sabotage yourself.

Always be true to YOU by being Authentic and in Integrity.

7. Always Dream Big

Big dreams and ideas require you to grow in order to achieve them. You’ll attract the people, resources and opportunities into your life you need to make your Dreams and Intentions manifest.

8. Set Intentions that will Stretch and Grow You

Intentions facilitate your personal growth and the person you become through the process and journey. They’re a means to an end to your personal development.

Reality Test Questions – Will this Intention make me stretch, develop and grow? Will it show me how to become a bigger person on the journey to achieving it?

9. Realistic and Achievable

Don’t overestimate what you can achieve, otherwise you’ll set yourself up for failure and disappointment.

Conversely, don’t underestimate either. You want to challenge yourself, and extend yourself beyond your current limits.

By setting Intentions that are achievable (not mediocre), you place yourself in Integrity. You experience and savor Success and Achievement, and Success enables and generates further Success.

10. Provide Value and Service to Others

When your Intentions involve service and contributing to others, it also accelerates the achievement of your Intentions and Goals.

It introduces a “wind at your back factor”. People, opportunities, resources and circumstances naturally appear and are attracted to initiatives and activities that make a difference in people’s lives.

Reality Test Questions – Will achieving this Intention provide value to others? Will it genuinely help me to grow as a person and fulfill My Life Purpose?

11. Make your Intentions and Desired Achievements (or Goals) Measurable

What specifically, how much and by when (set a timeline due date). Add them to your Work Sheet.

Reality Test Questions – Does your Intention (and its target date) frighten and excite you simultaneously? Does it “push the envelope”?

Enjoy the process of setting your Intentions for 2009. Make it FUN! You can use and adapt the Work Sheet I’ve provided for you.

And, then let’s get on with achieving them and making 2010 your best year ever.

Visualization and Vision Boards

Recently, I shared with you a Prosperity Affirmation Prayer highlighting the importance of positive affirmations and their influence on your Mindset to bring about your desired reality. 

Equally as important, if not more, is Visualization as a powerful force in bringing your dreams into reality.  It plays to the right side of your brain, connecting it with your left side of actions you need to take.

When you use Visualization to tap into the power of your brain, it will begin to function as if your Desired Goals are already achieved.

Your brain will work untiringly to achieve the visual images/pictures and positive statements you give your subconscious mind, when you support them with consistent, unflagging heightened good “feelings”. 

And when those pictures and statements are the affirmation of your goals, you are more likely to achieve them!

I’m sure you’ve heard heaps about the power of Vision Boards, Vision Journals, and the like….

I have both a Vision Board and a Thanks/Gratitude/Appreciation Board side by side in my Home Office.

Once my goals, dreams and wishes are on my Vision Board then I know the Universe will help make them true for me.

I have all of the achievements, things, and people I’m thankful for on my companion Thanks Board.

I try to focus on both Boards everyday.  It is very satisfying to move something from my Vision Board to my Thanks Board – that is a very enjoyable, celebratory moment I love to “feel” and experience each time!

Prosperity Affirmation to Help You Manifest Faster

Here’s a Prosperity Affirmation Prayer for you that I’m sure you will enjoy, and I trust will be helpful to you.

Make sure you read it aloud with “feeling”, conviction and intention, every day for 30 days, and note the difference it will make in your life.  Not only in how it makes you “feel”, and the way it gets you positively focused, but also observe the things that start to shift and happen in the next little while…

Do You Believe in the Power of Community and the Wisdom of the Crowd?

We are all connected in some way.  We are part of one big worldwide “Community”. 

And there are powerful, immeasurable benefits in the Power of Community and the Wisdom of the Crowd. 

By Wisdom of the Crowd I mean the collective opinion and enormous leveraging power of a likeminded group of people.  This certainly has been expanded in recent times by the democratization of public participation that has come about as a result of the amazing explosion of Social Media sites.

Where ever our consciousness level may be at, we connect with others at the same or similar level, no matter where we reside in our worldwide “Community”. 

 

When our consciousness is elevated, we connect with others at that much desired higher level. 

 

Just in the same way that the Law of Attraction works, we connect with people who are of like mind – we draw them to us, or they likewise draw us into their sphere.  We connect at that quantum level (scientifically speaking – Quantum Mechanics).
 

Yes, OK, that might sound a bit spooky to some of you.  But it’s true.  It’s based in scientific fact. 

We are energetic fields emanating energy waves and vibes, radiating out from us, all the time, over long distances, whether we’re feeling positive or negative, or anything in between.  And those energy fields connect with others, and bring to us what we “vibrate” and “attract”.

We’ve seen major shifts in consciousness over the past decade or so years…  Which overall only have been positive movements forward in our collective evolution, you would have to agree…

Yes, the global financial/economic crisis is a huge distraction (GFC or GEC, whatever you want to call it), but we will work through it, and we will survive… 

Even if it means for some there will be downsizing, simplifying, re-starting – there has to be a positive in there somewhere for us ALL.  It all depends on your perception, together with how you decide to respond, the actions you take, and the opportunties you seize.

My goodness, I’ve gotten a little bit off track with what I wanted to say -

While all the above is so relevant as a lead in, I really wanted to talk to you and share with you about the Power of Community and the Wisdom of the Crowd.  Because this is so relevant – we are all connected and can help each other – as long as we reach out and connect…

Do You Fancy Yourself as a Social Entrepreneur?

A vitally important part of the Law of Attraction process is genuinely ‘feeling’ and ‘expressing’ Gratitude and Appreciation, and engaging, with integrity and right intentions, in the ‘Giving’ and ‘Receiving’ cycle.

I’m sure you’ve become aware of Oprah Winfrey’s “Big Give” and how important and huge the wave of “Giving Back” and helping others has become.  And, which bring back enormous reciprocal benefits to you in turn…

I’m sure you also would have come across recent terms that have entered our everyday language, like SocialPreneur or Social Preneur, or even SpiritPreneur, and SpiritualPrenuer…

“Giving Back” and “Causing Good Things” to happen in your Community have become part of our evolving consciousness to a higher level, and a growing part of our day-to-day vernacular, and desired way of “being”…

Do you fancy yourself as a Social Entrepreneur?  Have you wondered how you may become involved?

Note:  The name Cagora comes from Agora, which was an open marketplace and public assembly in ancient Greece.  The “C” represents Community, and the name Cagora represents a Community Marketplace online similar to the Ancient Greek Agora.

With Cagora, you can actually “Do Good” and earn an income at the same time… The cornerstone of Cagora is the ‘Double Feel Good Factor’… earning an extra income for yourself while at the same time “doing good” for others (80% of profits go back to Members and nominated Charities and Community Groups).

Rob Anderson is the person behind Cagora, and I’ve had the great opportunity to work closely with Rob over the past 7 months in bringing Cagora to launch.

Spending Time with Likeminded People is Very Much Part of Your Own Success…

It’s a lonely world if you try to do it ALL on your own…  It’s so much better to link up with other likeminded people you genuinely connect with, and with whom you have a common bond, for mutual support…  And amazing Friendships may blossom also, to boot, if you choose wisely…

 I had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with Lynn Terry last week over a long lunch during her very brief Australian vacation, after meeting her last mid-December at a 30DayChallenge Christmas Melbourne MeetUp (Ed Dale), on her first holiday here. 

We’ve kept in regular contact since then, and Lynn also has kindly agreed to be interviewed for my other project I’m doing jointly with my biz partner and very good friend Alex Newell Expert List Building.

Yes, absolutely, part of the “Law of Attraction” process is – You put it out there to attract likeminded people…  And when they appear, that’s not just it, that’s not the end of the story…  Not at all…

You then nurture those relationships.  You give to them, as much, or even way more than they give to you, and you “develop” a mutually beneficial relationship…  There are no limits or weighing points…

And these associations may lead to valuable Joint Venture relationships also, where you hook up, and work together, to promote each others’ valuable offerings, resources, products or services.

I also met Rob Anderson at a 30DC Melbourne MeetUp last August ‘08.  And, when we discovered we both shared a strong common interest in Social Entrepreneuring, we totally hit it off immediately!…

I’ve been working with Rob ever since helping him get Cagora to launch in the marketplace – a new breed “Authority” Community Network.  And, we’ve become very good Friends ever since.

Yes, we have our solid foundations, our Family and long-time Friends, but if we also stay open to developing new Associations and Friendships, our Lives become even more evolved, richer and fulfilled, along Life’s amazing continuum…
