“Persistence” is a Major Success Characteristic You Must Have…

“PERSISTENCE” is a vital key characteristic that differentiates Successful People from others.  It’s a major personality trait you must have to SUCCEED, and need to cultivate and develop further ongoing… 

Persistence is a key part of the Success game.  Unstoppable people have persistence.  You’re not going to get anywhere without it.  If you want it badly enough, you’ll find a way to get it.  You have to be in it for the long haul…

Winners know how to get beyond problems and obstacles.  ‘NO’ does not exist in the Success Mindset.  Successful people find their way around obstacles.  They see them as a challenge – it fires them up even more… 

And that’s what you want to have and practice…

Embracing your dreams, carrying them through by taking inpired action persistently and consistently, until you get there… whatever it takes… 

Especially if you’re running your own business, and wishing to build and grow it further.  And achieve the Freedom and Lifestyle you so desire…

And, you may have the dream of building your own successful Home Internet Business, and you know how much focus and persistence that requires. 

As Brian G. Johnson says – “People DO NOT fail at Internet Marketing, they simply GIVE UP before the magic happens.”

Can you relate to that?  Think about your efforts to attract new clients, grow your database, or attract web traffic and build your subscriber and customer list…  Just keep persisting and taking action, and you’ll get there…

I’m sure you’ve heard it said that “The Money is in the List”, and certainly your success is dependent on the size of your list and how many people you can reach with your offering. 

When you persist and show the way, share your special talents and gifts, and provide value to others, they will follow you, join your list, want to hear from you, and buy your products, in growing numbers.

The video here is a wonderful, really fun, light-hearted example of PERSISTENCE and shows where one guy, through his own solitary efforts at first, starts a mass dance party to ”Unstoppable” by Santogold at the Sasquatch Music Festival.

I think it demonstrates perfectly that “sticking your neck out”, taking the lead, showing the way, persisting, and not giving up, reaps rewards…  Then seeing the power of what you can create if you stick in there, with the potential to influence the crowd, and create an unstoppable wave that then gains it’s own life and momentum, often exponentially…

It’s a perfect and entertaining example of just how Success can happen…

Success starts with just one person who has an idea, creativity, the motivation, and takes action.  One person who has a clear vision, who is willing to go it alone, and to keep going it alone until things start to happen and gain momentum, no matter what obstacles stand in the way.

And as the video demonstrates, with persistence, things will start to happen.  You just have to stay focused, keep going and persist.  It’s certainly not always going to be easy, but it’s oh so very worth it.

The rewards in the form of regular healthy income on your own terms, even passive income, and the Financial and Lifestyle Freedom that it brings is worth every moment of your focus, effort, time, commitment and patience.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!! Gratitude and Appreciation…

HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU ALL!!!  And here’s to a fabulously successful 2010, and brand new decade ahead!

This is an amazing time of the year to reflect back on what has taken place and gone by during the past year 2009.

And cast forward to the amazing year 2010 and decade before us – and all the possibilities and wonderment yet to come to fruition…

It’s also a wonderful time to express Gratitude and Appreciation for what we have —and joyfully weave in forecast Gratitude and Appreciation for what is yet to come – as if it is already here – a vital ingredient in mastering the successful Manifestation process.

For me, the last few days have been quite surreal…  Partly prompted unfortunately by my carelessly twisting/spraining my knee earlier in the week, forcing me to take it easy, and stop jumping around like a jack-in-the-box.

The celestial message: take it easy, relax, kick back, take time to reflect and review…

Not that I don’t already try to do this, but there has been an added “twist” – no pun intended!  Hehehe ;-)

Last night, New Year’s Eve was absolutely amazing! 

After 2 consecutive days of 38C and 37C hot conditions, as predicted by 8.45pm the changed conditions came through with brooding, ominous dark clouds impregnating the still daylight savings sky, boding the storms to come (threatening the traditional New Year’s Even Midnight fireworks display).

By 9.15pm, the storm erupted brilliantly, with much needed rain, thunder and lightning.  I’m a very biased lover of thunderstorms, and find them mesmerizing, so that was like an added bonus for me.

Midnight approached – the exhilarating countdown into the New Year and a brand new decade – and the thunderstorms continued, and thankfully, the fireworks proceeded as planned.  YIPPEE!!! 

Again surreal – 360 degrees around me (my home is just 5 kms south of Melbourne’s Central Business District, and one block away from the seaside boardwalk), we watched the fireworks explode brilliantly into the now dark midnight sky, intermingled with lightning and fireworks, all round.  How amazing and glorious!  I’ve never seen or experienced the combination before. 

A pleasing example of Mother Nature doing her natural thing, and kindly allowing human-made fireworks to share center stage with her on this very special occasion.  Graciously, room for all, eh?…

What a gift.  What a brilliant experience to witness.

So, as I said this is a great time to say Thanks, and express Gratitude and Appreciation…

For me, the amazing opportunity I have to:

-  Live My Life on Purpose…

I invite you to take this time to express Gratitude and Appreciation for what you have, and what you wish to have for now, into 2010, and beyond…

New Year is an incredibly cleansing pivotal time to review, let go, and refresh and re-align where you wish to go. 

Take the best advantage of this time, and set yourself on the right course you desire…

Are You Passionate About Your Success?

The 100 Day Challenge – Let’s Do It!

It’s not too late to make the most of the next and final 90-100 days of 2009!…  It’s never ever too late to ‘make a difference’ in your life…

We all began this year at GO!  We did our Intentions Planning earlier in the year – http://www.yoursuccessmasterynow.com/intentions/50/  

And now we are well on our way to achieving our final outcomes, and the most important end-of-year assessment round-up. 

The big difference in how much we’ve achieved Our Success will be determined by what we’ve done along the way en route during the year.  Goals set, actions taken, and results realized determine if you get to call this year 2009 a Success, or otherwise.

September 23rd just passed few days ago, and was an important date as it marked the 100 day countdown of 2009.

So, we’re now looking at the 90 Day/last quarter period of 2009.   So, let’s gather and recoup, and make the most of this period.

With that in mind, I have put together a number of questions for you to consider as you progress toward the finish line for 2009:

1. What specific results have you achieved so far this year?
2. Are you healthier, wealthier, and wiser?
3. Are you winning, losing or just holding ground?
4. What results are you committed to achieve by the end of the year?
5. How have you grown and what have you learned this year?
6. Is there any unfinished business that needs to be tended to in your life?
7. Are you actively pursuing what’s most important on a daily basis?
8. What habits do you need to change to ensure better results?
9. What is the key issue that inhibits your ability to perform at your best?

You must live to answer and honor these questions, because when it comes to the last 90-100 days of the year, every day and everything you do counts.

Prosperity Affirmation to Help You Manifest Faster

Make sure you read it aloud with “feeling”, conviction and intention, every day for 30 days, and note the difference it will make in your life.  Not only in how it makes you “feel”, and the way it gets you positively focused, but also observe the things that start to shift and happen in the next little while…

Do You Fancy Yourself as a Social Entrepreneur?

Enjoying “Being in the Moment”…

And that is so easy to do while enjoying another absolutely, perfectly, glorious Saturday in Melbourne…

 

In my opinion (and I’m certainly not alone) Autumn in Melbourne, Australia is the best season of the year.  Beautiful, glorious, mild days, warm temperatures, but not the same intense heat as during Summer.  This extends pretty well through to the end of April (hence daylight savings extension to end of 1st week in April).

 

The gardens are having their 3rd flush of growth and flowers.  Amazing how forgiving the gardens have been.  Everything is green again, with little sign of the burnt effects of the heat wave a month ago (and the devastating Victorian bushfires).


It’s so easy to “Be in the Moment” when you appreciate wonderful nature all around you.  New fresh green growth, beautiful flowers opening before your very eyes.  Breathing in a fresh ocean breeze as it plays across your face, and tousles your hair, as you walk up onto the Beacon Cove boardwalk for a walk along Port Melbourne and Sandridge beach.

 

So easy also, when you focus on the sensations, the experiences, the tastes in abundance all around during “Marvelous Melbourne in March”…

 

March here is also the month of Festivals galore…  Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Antipodes Greek Festival, Moomba WaterFest, Melbourne International Film Festival, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Melbourne French Film Festival, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Ballarat Begonia Festival, Australian Grand Prix, and the list goes on and on… something for everyone’s tastes and interests.  And all throughout Victoria too…   

 

When I worked with Melbourne City Marketing (in my corporate life before starting my own business working from home), we used the umbrella branding slogan “Marvellous Melbourne in March” to tie everything together, get the best bang for our marketing buck, promote a jolly good time, and take advantage of a great excuse to have one big month long party…

 

Look around you…  Go out and “experience” and you will find yourself wonderfully in the moment…

 

Enjoying your surroundings is a fabulous way to “Be in the Moment”… 

 

It’s so great for de-stressing and re-fuelling.  It makes working not seem like work at all, but a great pleasure, play and passion, and just flows…  just like writing this blog post, and much more… 

 

Enjoying what you do = greater productivity, because everything just flows much faster, and with much greater ease…

Have You Set Your Intentions for 2009?

“Dreams and Intentions” are more powerful than Resolutions.  They come from the heart and spirit, from your passions…  “Desired Achievements” are more meaningful and powerful than Goals…

OK, we’re now well into February, the second month of the year.  Have you set your Intentions for 2009?

As you may have already noted, I’m a strong believer in setting your Intentions as a way of driving your goals, or preferably your ‘Desired Achievements’, supported by taking effective Inspired Action (rather than the frivolous, paper-thin, and short-lived New Year Resolutions palaver).

If you’ve already set your Intentions at the end of last year, or in early January, that’s great!  You could also use this opportunity to do a quick refresher review from the vantage point of the second month (still early) of the year.

If you haven’t set your Intentions yet, it’s never too late!  There’s no time like Right Now to take action and kick-start your new plans so you hit the ground running to achieve greater success in 2009. 

Really, any time is a good time to focus on getting clear about your Intentions and setting them in motion.

My intention and purpose is to help you with that.

Let’s make the most of this over the next few days as we progress into February and 2009.

How will you get what you want in 2009?  What have you/will you commit to doing differently in 2009 to achieve more success and Abundance in your life?

Here are a few guidelines and tips to follow, reality check questions you can use as criteria, and a Working Sheet process to use – see point 11.

1.  Identify and Set Your Intentions

Be very clear and decide what you want and desire.  Once you do, with real crystal clarity, you engage your mind and sub-conscious and the Universe can step in to set in motion, draw to you and manifest what you want.

2.  Be Very Clear About Your Reasons WHY You Want These Intentions

Your Reasons WHY will keep you on track, give you focus, direction, and the fuel and power to drive through and surmount the obstacles.

Reality Check Questions – Do you have a burning and compelling desire to achieve your Intention?  Does this Intention create passion in your heart and soul and a “fire in your belly”?

3.  Integrity and Authenticity

Make sure your Intentions are driven by what YOU want and desire and come from a place within you, are about you, right for you, and fulfill your life purpose. Not what other people think or want.

If your Intentions are driven by seeking the approval of others, you’re likely to find ways (subtle and not so subtle) to sabotage yourself, derail and not achieve them.  If your Intention is because of someone else on any level, it’s often because it’s a ‘should’ rather than a true desire.

The greatest service you can pay yourself is to be true to YOU by being authentic and in integrity

4.  Be Very Specific

Really get into all the details and note them down.  Visualize, imagine, and describe how it “feels” to have achieved your Intentions as if Right Now!

5.  Get into the ‘Emotion’ of Your Intentions

Get all your senses involved.  If you can’t get emotionally excited and energized by what you’re aiming for, it’s highly likely you’ll find a way NOT to achieve your intentions.

 
By making your Intentions very specific and energized with emotion you create compelling ‘Desired Achievements’ (or goals) to shoot for that propel you towards what you want and equally attracts the desired outcomes to you.

6.  Always Dream Big

Big dreams and ideas require you to grow in order to achieve them.  You’ll attract the people, resources and opportunities into your life you need to make your Dreams and Intentions manifest.

7.  Set Intentions that will Stretch and Grow You

Intentions facilitate your personal growth and the person you become through the process and journey.  In many respects they’re a means to an end to your personal development. 

What you learn and new skills you acquire propel you further forward.  Remember to “push the envelope”.  Become a bigger person.

Reality Test Questions – Will this Intention make me stretch, develop and grow?  Will it show me how to become a bigger person on the road to achieving it?

8.  Realistic and Achievable

Don’t overestimate what you can achieve, otherwise you’ll set yourself up for failure and disappointment. 

Conversely, don’t underestimate either.  You want to challenge yourself, “push the envelope”, and extend yourself beyond your current limits of innovation and performance.

By setting Intentions that are achievable (not mediocre), you place yourself in Integrity.  You experience and savor success and achievement.  And success enables and generates further success.

9.  Get the Balance Right Between What is Achievable and Stretches You

Don’t set yourself up for failure.  Do aim to drive yourself that extra step or steps.  When you set Intentions that are achievable but stretch you at the same time, you are also in Integrity.

10.  Provide Value and Service to Others

When your Intentions involve service and contributing to others it also accelerates the achievement of your Intentions and goals.

It introduces a “wind at your back factor”.  People, opportunities, resources and circumstances naturally appear and are attracted to initiatives and activities that make a difference in people’s lives.

Reality Test Questions – Will achieving this Intention provide value to others?  Will it genuinely help me to grow as a person and fulfill my life purpose?

11.  Write Down Your Intentions

It’s vitally important to write down your Intentions.  If they just remain in your headspace and thoughts, they tend to dissipate, dilute and lose potency and shape.   

As Mark Victor Hansen (co-author of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series) says – “Don’t just think it, ink it!”

On your computer is absolutely perfectly fine – great in fact!

 Also, write down your Reasons WHY you want this specific Intention

.  WHY is it so important to have this in your life?

Then underpin and expand on your Intentions with specific Desired Achievements (or goals and objectives), and target timeframes.

Draw up a List of your Intentions under the following headings, or adapt the List to suit your specific needs and preferences.

Business / Career Intentions and Goals

            Business Development
            Career / Professional Development
            Financial Goals

Personal Intentions and Goals

            Health and Wellness
            Relationship/s
            Leisure time
            Personal Development
            Social Responsibility/Giving Back/
            Making a Difference

Under each heading, set 3 to 5 Specific Desired Achievements (or goals) with timeframes.

You can also use and adapt the Work Sheet you can find here. 
12.  Make your Intentions and and Desired Achievements (or goals) Measurable

What specifically, how much and by when (set a timeline due date).  Add them to your Work Sheet.

Reality Test Questions – Does your Intention (and its target date) frighten and excite you simultaneously?  Does it “push the envelope”? 

 13.  21 Days – 90 Days

It takes 21 days to form a new habit – of practicing that new habit every single day.  If you miss a day, you have to go back to day 1 and start over again.

It takes 90 days to reinforce that new habit and integrate it into your way of being.
